  0 rating. Last yr I called to organize a Caloundra holiday with a Groupon voucher I had purchased. A female advised the dates I required were available, all was booked & I would receive confirmation. I called on numerous occasions to ask for confirmation. Eventually Duane sent me an email confirmation with a completely wrong address for me. He said don't worry he would change it on the system. I arrived at my accommodation to be advised they were totally booked out & they had no record of my booking. My son & his family who were staying also arrived to this news. I was so upset. What do you tell your grandchildren?? Where are we going to spend the week? Would I loose my money? A reasonable amount spent. The manager of the resort mentioned Australian Escapes had done this on other occasions. She saw how distressed I was & was able to find a substitute (another area, lesser valued accommodation) but didn't know if 1 or 7 nights were available at the time. We drove 10 mins & the manager there was able to help. My calls to Australian Escapes for restitution were never returned at the time. Groupon gave me a $50 credit. I felt really sad that someone could do this to a family looking forward to a holiday. Like we weren't REAL people.
